A strong recruiting class, combined with quite a few high-profile transfers should put LSU in the driver's seat for success. Head Coach Jay Johnson wants his second year to be better than the first. The Bayou Bengals fell just short of the Super Regionals last season and hope to make it back to Omaha for the first time since 2017. The Karbach Round Rock Classic will be an early test for the preseason number one and certainly give answers as to whether these Tigers are up for the challenge to make their mark on a historic college baseball program. Preseason All-American OF Dylan Crews returns to LSU for his final season, hoping to stake his claim as the consensus No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming MLB Draft. If all the pieces can come together and work as a well-oiled machine, you will want to pay attention to “Callin Baton Rouge” and the LSU Tigers this spring.
