Most Recent NCAA Tournament: 2017
Coming off a solid season in which the Hawkeyes finished 3rd in the Big Ten and won 36 games, the Iowa faithful is out for vengeance after a blatant NCAA Tournament snub last season. RHP/UTL Keaton Anthony, a Frisco Classic All-Tournament team member, looks to be the first-ever athlete to make the All-Tournament team at both Peak Events Tournaments. The Hawkeyes have a loaded pitching staff that should make noise in Round Rock, led by All-Big Ten selections right-handers Ty Langenburg and Brody Brecht. The Hawkeyes should continue their strong ability of producing quality at-bats and wreaking havoc on the basepaths every game. Should they lean on their experience and moxy at Round Rock and in Big Ten Conference play, Iowa will leave no doubt this time around that they deserve a spot among the 64-team bracket come June.
